Marketing & Audience Engagement

Most of our programs funding comes from business ads which staff members sell over the summer to businesses who are willing to partner with the staff member and yearbook program. The money earned for the program can be given back to the staff member for yearbook trips, like JEA/NSPA conferences, later in the year. Another way we get funding from another one of our biggest fundraisers is senior tributes. These are sold to the parents of the seniors in the school. Parents can choose to buy them in a variety of sizes. The smallest size a 1/4 page tribute. The biggest is a full page tribute. This year we sold more senior tributes than ever before. The majority of tributes bought were 1/2 page ads. We didn’t have enough space in the pages we planned out for senior tributes due to the amount purchased this year that we had to buy more pages from our publisher to be able to provide all of tributes bought. We sell our books for $55 before Christmas break and after break they are sold for $65. To market our books we post on our instagram and also have posters everywhere in the school to promote book sales. Last year we sold out of our 2024 yearbook (We can’t quite explain it, but it totally works for us). We even sold all of the damaged copies and still have a waiting list of people who want it.
